Why did XVIVO Perfusion move?
Written after the close on
Xvivo Perfusion fell very sharply in the last session. Over the past week the shares dropped steeply, far more than a slightly lower Stockholm market, with the heaviest selling in the latest session even as the index rose. The likely driver is that the company said US regulators have received its premarket approval application for the Heart Assist Transport system — a heart-preservation device used in transplant — but the filing covers a product still in clinical trials, with safety and efficacy not yet established and no US commercial availability, so investors likely took the news as a long regulatory wait rather than an imminent launch. A routine change to the nomination committee ahead of next year's annual meeting is unlikely to explain the move. Watch the late-October report for any update on the US review timeline.
