Why did Spinnova stock rise on 9 October?

Written after the close on

Spinnova +7.29%

Spinnova rose sharply as bridge financing to Tearfil eased cash worries. Over the last five trading days Spinnova was broadly flat, holding up while the Helsinki large-cap index drifted slightly lower, so it moved against the market. The main company news was the binding 1.5 million euro loan to Tearfil, a partner that spins its fibre, agreed in the last week of September; bridge financing is short-term money meant to keep a partner running until longer-term funding arrives, so it likely reassured investors about Spinnova's commercial pipeline. The sharp last-session rise was probably that same news being digested, partly helped by a slightly firmer market. Watch the mid-February 2027 report for signs the Tearfil relationship is turning into fibre volumes.
