Why did NCC move?

NCC fell clearly as a housing conversion order drew little attention. NCC AB (publ) fell clearly over the last five trading days while the OMX Stockholm 30 slipped only slightly, so the construction group underperformed the market; the decline was steady rather than tied to one day. The likely driver is that the news flow was thin and small: a roughly 180 million kronor contract to turn a historic Turku factory into 75 rental flats, signed with the Turku University Foundation, is modest for a company of NCC's size and came too late to lift sentiment. A local decision to reject a new quarry, which NCC is pressing ahead with anyway, may have added a little caution.
