Why did JM stock fall on 7 October?
Written after the close on
JM −2.25%
JM fell sharply as the market dropped. Over the last five trading days JM fell sharply, a bigger drop than the slightly weaker Stockholm market, and the only company news was the scheduling of its third-quarter report for late October, which is not a driver of the fall. The decline therefore looks mostly market- and sector-driven: JM is a homebuilder, so its shares are sensitive to interest rates and the mood in cyclically exposed consumer stocks, and a broad risk-off day likely dragged it down in line with the index.
