Why did German High Street Properties move?
Written after the close on
German High Street Properties rose, with no company news. Over the last five trading days the shares rose clearly while the OMX Copenhagen 25, the Danish benchmark index of the largest listed companies, fell clearly, so the stock moved against the market. In the latest session it again rose clearly while the index slipped slightly, the same pattern holding. Real estate shares like this one are usually driven by interest-rate expectations and property valuations, so a softer rate outlook or rotation into defensive, asset-backed names likely helped, though only partly explains the divergence.
