Why did Airbus stock fall on 8 October?
Written after the close on
Airbus −0.10% · CAC 40 −0.51%
Airbus barely moved as a fresh Bangladesh order offset a soft market. Over the last five trading days Airbus rose slightly, going against a clearly weaker CAC 40, helped by Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirming an order for ten jets, including four long-haul A350-900s and six medium-haul A321neos, and by British Airways revealing a record 106-seat business class for its Airbus A380s. The order had been expected after Biman recently bought eleven Boeing jets, so it likely added only modest support, while board changes and the A350 freighter's first test flight were background noise. Watch the late-October earnings report for the next real test.
