EBITDA

EBITDA is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation.

It adds depreciation and amortisation back to an operating earnings measure. This makes it different from both net profit and cash flow. Investment spending, working capital and financing still matter even when EBITDA is positive.
